The Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR) on September 03, 2026, issued notification on Readiness for Go-Live of Central KYC Records Registry 2.0 (CKYCRR 2.0) and participation in Pilot Testing.
CKYCRR 2.0 is nearing Go-Live, following completion of UAT by Reporting Entities (REs) and online training. To ensure readiness, a two-week Pilot Testing window from September 7 to September 20, 2026 will be available to all REs in the production environment using production data. Pilot transactions will be treated only as test transactions and will be purged after Go-Live and will not be migrated to the live environment.
During the pilot period, CKYCRR 1.0 will continue to operate, and REs must continue all applicable live transactions on CKYCRR 1.0 until CKYCRR 2.0 formally goes live. REs must first complete prescribed testbed and onboarding activities; system-generated credentials and DSC setup instructions will be sent to Nodal Officers and IA users from September 6, 2026. Upon Go-Live, access to CKYCRR 1.0 will be disabled.
Since pilot testing involves production data and PII, REs must ensure appropriate access controls, secure credentials and DSCs, authorised-user access, secure storage of downloaded information, monitoring of user activity, and prevention of unauthorised disclosure of PII. REs are advised to complete onboarding and pilot testing within the prescribed timelines to ensure technical and operational readiness for CKYCRR 2.0.
